Robbie and Fred Bettis began the clean up process of the beautiful old Braselton Bros. Store in September 2003.
Fred, with a small crew, scraped and painted walls and ceilings, replaced broken windows, repaired floors damaged from a leaky roof, sought electrical upgrades, replaced a heat and air system and built a new bathroom. In the mean time Robbie used her marketing background to seek dealers to rent spots and started a major campaign effort to solicit customers.
The doors opened to the public in October and the response was unbelievable. The sales were three times greater than expected. Sixty-three spots are filled with a waiting list of dealers wanting to sell their wares in one of the most beautiful historical buildings found anywhere.
Robbie and Fred Bettis also own and operate Antique Station & Ye Ole Station, an antique shop specializing in gas station
paraphernalia, located just 1 1/2 miles from the Braselton Antique Mall, east on RT. 53
